‘Time of My Life’ to be re-released as a single

Speaking about the song “Time of My Life” in his YouTube Q&A session, Patrick Wolf revealed that the song will be rereleased as a single with b-sides and remixes. He feels it deserves a proper video and will be spending the next few weeks speaking with directors and developing his ideas.

Delving even deeper into the song, Patrick revealed that “Time of My Life” is one of the songs on the album that went through the most “incarnations.” The song, originally a “high energy dance song” with 155 BPM, went through various titles including “Worst Time of My Life” and “Happy Without You.” It then went on to be produced by Matthew Herbert which resulted in a “Casio” version of the song. Following that, it became a Celtic track as Patrick reproduced the song with the instruments heard on The Bachelor and then after working in Los Angeles it became a “big dance, kind of Gaga / Britney” track. Finally, Patrick returned to London and “stripped it all away” and incorporated his favorite parts of the songs to finally produce the song we now know.
